n January 11-12, 2019 the Southeastern District is hosting an Early Childhood Administrators Boot Camp at Our Savior, Laurel MD. With thanks for a generous grant, the cost of the workshop is free for our Child Development Centers and Preschool leaders.

The Director’s Boot Camp
This 9-hour training program is designed to specifically address the most needed administrative topics in the Early Care and Education Industry: personnel management, licensing compliance, risk management, and documentation. All participants will receive a comprehensive program packed with handout materials to support implement the material presented. This program is developed by Ronald V McGuckin and Associates who specialize in Child Provider Law.
About our presenter: Dawn K. Martini
Mrs. Martini is a cum laude graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, where she studied Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Since graduating, she has worked in many areas related to her field of study. As a lead teacher in infant and preschool programs, her theoretical knowledge of child development was complimented by practical, hands-on experience. As a therapeutic support person (behavior therapist), Mrs. Martini gained valuable experience with disabled children and played key roles in their integration into the classroom environment. In addition to her academic pursuits, Mrs. Martini has co-authored the “Model Parent Handbook for Child Care Agencies,” and “Model Personnel Policy Manual for Child Care Agencies, 3rd and 4th Editions,” and is the author of “Model Forms for Child Care Agencies.” Mrs. Martini is Editor in Chief of “The Child Care Professional Experience” a free online journal for child care professionals. Additionally, Mrs. Martini travels nationally to speak with child care providers about a multitude of issues. Her lecture portfolio includes over forty topics related to legal, human resources, interpersonal and child based issues affecting the child care industry. In September 2003, Mrs. Martini received recognition from Pennsylvania Pathways and was awarded the status of “Certified Trainer.” (CT-0442000) re-certified in 2009. In 2009, Mrs. Martini was awarded the designation of Master Trainer by the Oregon Center for Career Development in Childhood Care and Education and Registered Trainer (#1400) by the Texas Early Care and Education Career Development System.
Participants will receive a certificate for 9 hours of training upon completion of the program.
