Covid 19 update - we have adjusted our spring Professional Church Workers Conference dates. Instead of the PCW regional conferences we have now scheduled a series of video conferences.
Mondays, May 11th, May 18th, and June 8th at 10 AM
This spring, as per our usual schedule, the District Staff was planning to host our Regional Professional Church Worker Conferences (One Conference, Two Locations). Like with many other plans, the current national crisis has caused us to adapt. As a staff who seeks to support our congregations and workers, we felt that it was important that we maintain this opportunity for communication and fellowship via alternate means. To that end, we have scheduled a Video Conference Series based on the theme of Psalm 121:8 – The Lord, My Helper, Both Coming In and Going Out.
Each session will include a 30-40 minute presentation followed by virtual small group discussion time. We would gather again electronically as a large group for a final wrap-up. While our church workers and leaders are encouraged to participate in all three Video Conferences, you will register for each individually.Pre-registration is required so that small groups can be assigned. There will be no cost for this Video Conference Series.
We have tentatively schedule topics to the dates reserved as follows:
Caring and Ministering to All God’s People During an Epidemic
Rev. Dr. Bruce Hartung
Helping a Church to Come Back to the Building in a Safe Way
Nancy Boriack, USAF Colonel, Retired
Care for One’s Family and Self During Uncertain Times
DCE Stace Crosson
