Mission work continues in all three regions of the SED.

Vine and Branches, Aldie VA . This ministry began as a church start 10 years Their new building includes worship space and a state-of-the-art campus for a child development center. Vine & Branches School is a full-day child development center located on nine beautiful acres in Aldie, VA. Opening in summer 2018, they offer full-time programs for children 6 weeks to 4 years old and part-time programs for 2 year olds to 12 year olds. Pastor Dax Jordan and Director Angela Dudek are providing missional leadership.

King of Glory New Kent, Providence Forge VA. They are now a chartered congregation of the LCMS and they have purchased land in Providence Forge. As this congregation continues to establish roots in the neighborhood, pray that they continue to be the church without walls in their serving and faith-sharing. Pastor Larry McReynolds is the mission leader.

Shalom Ethiopian Evangelical, Alexandria VA. Meeting at St. John's, Alexandria, Pastor Rev. Mitiku Z. Woldegeberal is the mission leader. They are serving the neighborhood and welcoming people to the fellowship of Shalom.

SED Coaching Network.  This is a new group taking shape within our District seeking to connect with congregations, workers, and lay leaders for Kingdom impact. This group will be available to coach and walk alongside of congregations, teams, and individuals this summer. Rev. Travis Guse (SED staff) is directing this effort.

iNeighborhood  This work of being the church outside the walls continues to grow as congregations are being introduced to iNeighborhood concepts, neighborhood events are "BLESS"ing more people, and small groups are taking shape. We continue to lift up the work of meeting neighbors and sharing Jesus as one of the ways that you and I (regular people) will help connect 32 million people to Jesus.
