Supporting Church Worker Education
Answering the Call to Serve (link to PDF)
Above is a link to an information handout highlighting some of the people in the Southeastern District who have answered the Call to serve and are either in one of the many programs offered through the Concordia system or have recently graduated. Please share this information with the members of your congregation as we want to thank them for supporting these future church workers through the District Student Aid Program.

Thank you for sending me!
Back in the last century when I was a high school senior, I received my first Southeastern District scholarship grant. I was accepted into the Deaconess program and looking forward to beginning my college work at Valparaiso. Those days seem so long ago, yet I know that it was because of the District's commitment to raising up church workers that funds to provide scholarships were available.
Today, we are supporting 25 students in traditional and non-traditional study programs. They are attending our Concordia Universities, Colleges, and Seminaries. They are young and older, men and women, each one is answering the call to serve the Lord as teacher…director of Christian education…deaconess…pastor…mission leader.
The challenge before us is that there are so many who do not yet know Jesus as Savior. Within our District, there are many of the 32,000,000 people who live here who have no relationship with the Lord. As we move forward to connect people with Jesus, workers of all types will be needed – and your ongoing partnership in providing scholarships and learning opportunities will be needed.
As you enter this season of giving, pray about giving a special contribution to the church worker scholarship fund. It made a difference in my life.
Thank you for your support in raising up workers for the church.
We have made it easier for you to donate to the SED Church Worker Scholarship Fund.
