On September 27th, Southeastern District Bishop Bill Harmon officiated over the dedication of King of Glory’s new worship center.  A packed sanctuary celebrated this latest growth in God’s Kingdom.

You may recall back in June of last year, we celebrated with King of Glory, New Providence in their groundbreaking ceremony on June 9th. They had been worshiping in a shopping center strip mall building hidden behind a Food Lion grocery store.  While off the beaten path, they were still experiencing standing room only worship during special services.

Blessed with a gift of 25 acres from their mother congregation King of Glory Williamsburg, King of Glory New Kent teamed with the Lutheran Church Extension Fund and were able to build a new and beautiful facility.  Pastor Larry McReynolds provided a long list of thanks to the many friends who helped them succeed in building their new facility.

Listed as one of the 100 top growing localities in the United States, New Kent is located about 30 minutes east of Richmond, Virginia towards Williamsburg.

King of Glory is looking to use their facility and land to reach out to their growing community to allow them to come together for meetings or using their property for sports teams to practice.

It is wonderful to experience their love of community to connect others to Jesus so that lives are transformed, and God’s kingdom grows.
