NLSA is a process of self-evaluation and outside review that helps Lutheran schools grow in the quality of their academic programs — and, most importantly, in their spiritual mission. It’s a voluntary process open to any school connected to a congregation, group of congregations, or recognized service organization within the LCMS.

What Is NLSA?
National Lutheran School Accreditation is the accrediting body for Lutheran schools across the LCMS — assessing everything from academics to the spiritual life of the school. NLSA has recognized excellence in Lutheran education since 1987, with every accreditation grounded in national standards designed specifically for Lutheran schools.
