The Southeastern District, LCMS has put together this resource to help get you started in your youth ministry journey. There is not a “one size fits all” for youth ministry. Congregational, regional, and societal differences abound in the SED. The one constant is that the best youth ministry is relational. Fostering relationships in community and building trust with your youth is key. This brief guide will share a few “success stories,” provide some links to resources, and give a few points of contact throughout the SED for youth ministry. WHERE TO START?
The LCMS has spent significant time studying the data compiled on youth ministry. While they cannot provide a program that will cover all aspects, they do cover the basic premises and practices in their “7 Practices of Healthy Youth Ministry.”
