The SED of the Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod (LCMS) is a regional district of the LCMS, comprised of 214 congregations, 79 school ministries, and 8 service organizations.
The Southeastern District sits at the center of national and global influence, whereby a broader base of political, cultural, military, and religious connections and resources are uniquely situated.
The Southeastern District is a microcosm of the nation with a diversity of people, geography, and traditions. Within the District, you can enjoy all four seasons of the year, oceans and mountains, sun and snow. Resting in one of the nation’s historical centers, there is no shortage of places to visit, things to learn, and people to engage with the light of Christ.
Each mission station within the District has a unique opportunity to connect with people of various backgrounds and experiences with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With 33,000,000 people within the area and people from all over the world visiting the Southeastern District, we are committed to engaging our neighbors and neighborhoods with the hope of the Gospel and the promises of a God who loves and transforms.
In grateful response to God’s grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Southeastern District Connects people with Jesus.
As we work together to connect our neighbors to Jesus, lives are transformed and God’s Kingdom is growing.
