College and Seminary Tuition Scholarships

Supporting the Next Generation of LCMS Church Workers

The Southeastern District believes in investing in those who are called to serve. The SED Student Aid Program awards tuition grants to members of SED congregations who are pursuing full-time careers as rostered LCMS church workers — pastors, teachers, deaconesses, DCEs, and more.

Applications for the 2026–2027 academic year are open now through June 5, 2026.

Apply Now

If you have any trouble with the form – please contact Gina at gjordan@se.lcms.org

Who Can Apply? You may be eligible if you are a communicant member of an SED congregation and are enrolled — or planning to enroll — at an LCMS college, university, or seminary in pursuit of a full-time church work career.

How It Works Grants are awarded for one academic year at a time and paid directly to your school in two installments. Applications are reviewed each summer by the SED Student Aid Task Force, and applicants are notified in mid to late summer.

Questions? Contact Sidney Heetland, Director of Business and Finance, at sheetland@se.lcms.org.
